1990s JAPAN Lace

This is dead stock from about 20 to 30 years ago that we found in a fabric warehouse in the mountains of Hyogo Prefecture.

The weft thread is a fine mesh with irregular neps, and the fabric has an unusual appearance, with moire patterns appearing occasionally depending on the angle.

Because it is fabric for curtains, the width of the fabric is wider than conventional fabrics, and it is possible to make products that take advantage of the wide width, including curtains.

A characteristic of lace curtain fabric is that a weighted material is sewn into the bottom.
